In Chinese culture, the gourd—or "Hulu"—is a cherished symbol of protection and harmony. Its name sounds like "Fu Lu" (福禄), which represents fortune, wealth, and a life of ease.

These hand-selected mini gourds (35-45mm) are the perfect multi-purpose companion for your daily life:

  • Tactile Fidget: The smooth, organic curves provide a grounding sensory experience. It’s perfectly sized to fit in your palm, helping you find a moment of "Banri" (leisure) during a busy day.

  • Personal Charm: Each gourd comes with a pre-drilled top, making it easy to create your own DIY phone charms, bag pendants, or car hangings.

  • Natural Aging: Like our signature walnuts, these gourds are "living" objects. Watch as the natural shell transforms from a light straw hue to a rich, toasted amber with daily handling.

📌 Policy: Every gourd is a unique gift from nature. Expect slight variations in shape, texture, and size, making your piece truly one-of-a-kind. Because these are natural, hand-selected items, all sales are final. Every pair has its own unique texture and character. Please make sure you’re ready to embrace this Zen journey before ordering!

📝 Support: If you have any questions about a specific pair or variety, please DM @notemilyfeng on TikTok or email at hello@banri.co.

Product Care

• Daily Handling: Regular play is the best way to develop a patina. Natural oils from your hands will help the surface become glossy over time.

• Sunlight for Color: Unlike many natural items, gourds love the sun. Moderate exposure to sunlight actually helps them turn a richer, deeper red faster.

• Humidity Control: Although they love light, gourds can crack in extremely dry air. If your environment is very dry (especially in winter), store the gourd in an airtight container or a Ziploc bag when not in use.

• Avoid Water: Do not soak the gourd. If it gets wet, dry it immediately with a soft cloth.

• Cleaning: Always handle with clean, dry hands to ensure the patina develops clearly without looking dull or "muddy."
